STUDENT TUITION FEES – POLICY AND PROCEDURE

COURSE FEE

  1. All refund requests from submission of request to collection of refund if approved to be only communicated by the student enrolled for the course if the student is over 18 years of age.
  2. If the student is under 18 years of age a parent/guardian may represent the student in all correspondence.
  3. Any Application or Registration fee paid is non-refundable if the student discontinues the course at the Mercury Institute.
  4. Withdrawals from the course:

If a student withdraws from the course ten (10) days from the date of registration, 100% of tuition fees will be refunded. If student has collected study material, upon inspection the material fee will be deducted from the fee prior to the refund if not in the condition originally.

  1. Any payments made in respect to Computer Based Examinations will be valid for six (6) months from the date of issue of the receipt.
  2. A scanned copy of the original receipt issued by the institute for the course will be required to be attached with the correspondence.
  3. Within a minimum often (10) working days, the institute will respond will the decision made and procedures to thereafter follow in order to facilitate the refund process.
  4. Any decision made with respect to the refund request will be final.
  5. Any other fees incurred to process the transaction and facilitate the refund if approved will be deducted accordingly.
  6. Course fee on special offers , concessionary rates , partial payment requests or scholarships will have its own applicable clauses
  7. In the case of a student confirmation / invoice provided for the provision for a reimbursement from your employer or bank providing you with a student loan, a refund request would only be processed further upon obtaining a no objection request on the disbursement of the refund to the student .

Application / Registration fee to Foreign Universities

Application fee paid on behalf of the admission to the university will be refundable on the sole discretion of the university applied to and Mercury Institute will not be liable .  
 
If the offer letter is denied due to lacking documents not submitted by you as advised , the offer letter may not  be issued to you and you will not receive a refund .
 
Advance deposits made in lieu of visa processing is non refundable after accessing any proprietary documentation of the institute .

The institute holds no responsibility of external service providers work during the course of the visa preparation process. As per best interest of student recommendation of services will be done based on prior experience. However, selection to be done on the sole discretion of the client upon their own consideration.
 

EXAMINATION FEE

  1. Any payments made in respect to Computer Based Examinations will be valid for six (6) months from the date of issue of the receipt.
  2. Any payments made in respect to any other Examination Fees will be valid of one (1) year from the date of issue of the receipt.
  3. Examination fee is non-refundable.

REFUNDS IN EXCEPTIONAL CIRCUMSTANCES

Where a student or the student’s personal representative gives written notice to the school within four (4) weeks of the commencement of the term that he or she is withdrawing from a course due to exceptional circumstances being:

  1. Inability to obtain a student visa; or
  2. Illness or disability; or
  3. Death of the student or a close family member (parent, sibling, spouse or child) or;
  4. A political, civil or natural event which prevents full payment of fees or the student’s attendance;

The Institute may in its sole discretion having regard to the exceptional circumstances grant a total or partial refund of tuition fees subject to the provision of documentary evidence in support of the application for a refund which is acceptable to the Institute.

SUSPENSION

Any form of misconduct by the student would result in immediate suspension of the student from the Institute. A student will be there after not be entitled to a refund.

Subsequent disciplinary and legal action will be initiated if any damage is made to the tangible or intangible assets of the institute.
