BEHAVIOR

As members of the University community, we expect the highest standards of behavior from our students, whether on premises or elsewhere.

MISCONDUCT

Any form of misconduct (verbal or physical) reported will be investigated by the Disciplinary Committee. Thereafter as per the directions of the Committee, disciplinary procedures will be followed.

If the disciplinary committee direction suspends a student subsequent to the investigation, the student is no more a registered student.

Thereafter the student will not be entitled to:

  • Enter the premises of the institute without prior permission
  • Academic confirmation letters
  • Visa letters for further studies
  • Participate in Annual Graduation
  • Refer to being a student of the institute in any correspondence

Further disciplinary and legal action will be initiated if any damage is made to the tangible or intangible assets of the institute.

ATTENDANCE

A student is expected to maintain 80% attendance throughout the dura􀆟on of the course. If the minimum attendance requirement is not maintained the students will not be entitled to:

  • Academic confirmation letters
  • Visa letters for further studies
  • Participate in Annual Graduation

Exceptions will be made on a case by case basis in the event of unexpected circumstance with adequate supporting documentation furnished.

If there is no student attendance for the live lecture, the lecturer will be unable to conduct the session. The session will be canceled and not re scheduled. Hence, recordings will not be available.

DRESS CODE

Students are to use good judgment at all times regarding professional dress code and personal appearance.

CORRESPONDENCE

  • All official correspondence to be in the form of written communications (email correspondence is accepted).
  • All communications will be accepted only by the student enrolled for the course if the student is over 18 years of age.
  • If the student is under 18 years of age a parent/ guardian may represent the student in all correspondence.
  • Confidentiality expected to be maintained in all communications.

EXEMPTIONS

Students with prior qualifications will be able to get exemptions for certain subjects based on the relevant course exemption database. But the final confirmation of the exemptions will only be done by the relevant qualification awarding body during registration.

COMPLAINTS

Any complaint to be immediately communicated to the management. Upon investigation, the management will respond with a recourse action within 10 days of the date of the communication. All clauses included under MISCONDUCT & CORRESPONDENCE are applicable.

FEE TRANSFER REQUESTS

Transfer of fees paid to another semester requires official communications to abide by all clauses under CORRESPONDENCE. All relevant supporting documentation and the original receipt issued to be attached with the correspondence. Each request will be considered on a case by case basis.
